Fancy plywood, also called decorative plywood, is usually veneered with good-looking hardwood veneers; fancy veneers should have good-looking grain and be top grade (A grade). Fancy plywood is very flat, smooth.
Usually, fancy veneers are natural wood in high grade sliced and rotary cut veneers, in order to reduce cost, artificial (man-made) fancy veneers (also called engineered wood veneers) are also available. Artificial fancy veneers look similar to natural wood veneers but are much cheaper.
Fancy plywood is widely used for furniture, cabinets, doors, household decoration and so on.

Technical Data: Veneer Matching The arrangement of veneer comprising the panel's face determines the visual effect that results. Different matching techniques are used for specific panel applications. Slip Matching: Adjacent veneer sheets are joined side-by-side, same sides up, for a uniform grain pattern. Whole Piece: A single piece of veneer is used with continuous grain characteristics running across the sheet. Pleasing Match: Veneers are matched by color similarity. Not necessarily grain characteristics. Random or Mismatch: Veneers intentionally do not match at the joints for a casual effect. Book Matching: Turns every other piece of adjacent veneer over, resulting in identical but opposite patterns. Special Matching Effects: Other arrangements of veneers, such as this checkerboard pattern, can be used to produce striking visual impact. •Birch Plywood is made of several glued veneer sheets depends on thickness required. Wood grains of adjoined veneer sheets can have perpendicular or lop-sided (when wood grains are along one side) dispositions. The number of veneer sheets varies from 3 to 23 depends on thickness.
